A new Samsung User Agent Profile has leaked, revealing details about the new Galaxy S Active device. The Galaxy S6 Active is said to be a phablet with a 5.5 inch diagonal and more is revealed below.
The rumors about it are based on the similarity between the codename of the Galaxy S5 Active and the Galaxy S6 Active. This SM-G890A model is mentioned in the Zauba database, that tracks import and export of devices in India. 20 such models have been shipped from South Korea, 15 on February 20 and 5 on March 7. The devices are mentioned as test and evaluation units.
Samples are usually sent in pre-release form to various partners or overseas offices, so this is probably the case. All we know is that the Galaxy S6 Active is a 5.5 inch handset with a single SIM slot. Since the Galaxy S6 is no longer waterproof, the Active version is probably water resistant, dust resistant and with a bit of luck even shock proof.
