Samsung Galaxy S6 Active already leaked this week and today we see its specs confirmed and learn more about the carrier that will offer it. For those of you wondering what alternative to choose now that the Galaxy S6 is not waterproof, the Galaxy S6 Active may just be it.
This model, codenamed SM-G890A for now will offer a 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED+ display, the one of the regular Galaxy S6. The device will also keep the bulk of the specs of the Galaxy S6 and it’ll include the Exynos 7420 processor, plus 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 16 megapixel back camera. There will be a 5 MP front shooter and the handset will measure 8.8 mm in thickness.
The battery size will be upgraded to 3500 mAh and AT&T will be the first carrier to sell the product. Since this is an Active unit, we expect some bonus physical buttons, water and dust resilience, plus shock resistance with a bit of luck.
