It appears a series of sketches for the Samsung Galaxy S6 handset made their way onto the Internet, after a leak from an accessory maker. As usual, such companies get mockups and dummy units early, so they have an idea what the size of the new device is.
These are the schematics used to make the mold of the device and they’ve reached the folks of Nowhereelse.fr. We’re dealing with a smartphone that measures 143.52 mm in length and 70.70 mm in width, while its waistline is 7.19 mm. If you want to compare those figures to the ones of the Galaxy S5, that handset measures 142 mm in length, 72.5 mm in width and 8.1 mm in thickness.
This means the S6 is an entire millimeter thinner, almost. The sketches and leaked cases suggest a large camera hole will be present here, meaning we will get quite a capable sensor. That area may also include a pulse sensor, close to the camera module. The on/off and volume buttons seem to keep their place, while the speaker seems to have been moved from the back to the bottom of the phone.
All that’s left to figure out is why there’s a third hole at the bottom, aside from the one of the microUSB and speaker… We’ll remind you the Galaxy S6 is supposed to be a Super AMOLED 5.1 to 5.5 inch smartphone, with a Quad HD resolution, with an Exynos 7420 CPU potentially on board, 3 GB of RAM and a 20 MP back camera, as well as a 5 MP front one.
