Everybody knows that Samsung is a bit late with its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, that should have arrived on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge by now. Well, we did see those two devices with the OS on board, courtesy of a gallery done by Sammobile.com and now let’s learn what’s new!
Aside from increased performance and the usual bug fixes, the release comes with the Doze battery feature, plus Google Now on Tap and advanced app permissions. Also, some UI changes have happened, like the status bar and quick toggles menu that are fully white instead of blue and the power menu getting redesigned in a not so sexy fashion.
A few apps have had their icons changed and users can now switch themes on the phone based on the color palette. The Pro camera mode finally includes shutter speed options, that were already available on the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, so this is a logical update. Now we’re also waiting for some benchmarks to see if performance has improved or not.
