Samsung Galaxy S7 is a set of key words that you’re bound to hear obsessively over the next two weeks. Obviously, it’s the start of a new week of rumors today, that culminates with the leak of the very first hands on shot of the flagship.
You can check out its back and part of its sides in the glossy shot above. The camera hump seems to be gone, as the rumors mentioned and the curves of the sides are present, arching from back to front. The camera module gets the same coloring as the body and the elegant black finish is here, as rumored as well. Somehow, even though we know the back is made of glass, it feels a tad like it’s ceramic or even plasticky.
The source of the leak also mentions a magnesium metal frame instead of the aluminum one. Then the same leakster goes on to mention that the Exynos version of the phone has 15% better performance in both CPU and GPU departments, much to Qualcomm’s chagrin. Both the Exynos and Snapdragon models are said to have a high quality DAC, the ESS Sabre 9018, the same one from the LG V10.
Finally, the battery can charge from zero to 80% in 30 minutes and it cam go to full juice in 100 minutes. Water resistance is also here, as well as the famed 12 megapixel BRITECELL camera. Galaxy S7 is now rumored to be priced at $740, while the Galaxy S7 Edge will be $890. The leak comes from Vietnam and this merely a prototype, so take everything with a grain of salt.
It’s also been said that we’ll see an official introduction of both models on March 3rd, at least in Vietnam.
