In spite of the quantity of leaks related to the Galaxy S8 and in spite of the fact that quite a few of them mention a Galaxy S8+ version, it wasn’t very clear what the name of the bigger model would be. Today, thanks to a logo leaked by Evan Blass, we get the confirmation of the name.

As you probably know already, the Galaxy S8 is expected to come in two sizes, a 5.8 inch basic model and a 6.2 incher. The latter is the Samsung Galaxy S8+, that could come with 4 or 6 GB of RAM, a main 12 megapixel camera and a new generation of fingerprint scanner at the back. The front panel will get very slim bezels and of course the edges will be curved.

The Galaxy S8+ is said to arrive with a 3750 mAh battery and of course it’ll run on Android Nougat with the latest TouchWiz on top. The Bixby assistant will be on board. We could see some extras on the bigger unit, like more RAM or storage than the 5.8 inch version, to make the device more appealing. People are already saying that Samsung went with the Apple approach of calling the basic model as it is and the bigger one with a Plus.

They must have forgotten that Samsung already had the Galaxy S6 Edge+ with that naming pattern.
