The latest report on the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes straight out of South Korea and details both the core device and the Galaxy S8 Plus model, that’s said to be a 6.2 incher. As expected, both will lack a physical Home button, in favour of a virtual one.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will share the side curved screen, so there will be no Edge version this year. The Korean source continues, saying that there will be no dual camera setup at the back of the S8, something we already knew, judging from those leaked case designs from the web. The S8 Plus however, will have a dual camera. The report states that the basic model will pack a 5.7 inch screen, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a 6.2 inch panel.
Meanwhile we’ve also heard that a prototype of the flagship is ready and has been sent to the Samsung CEO and vice chairman for approval and feedback. This time the leak says that a MWC 2017 presentation is in the cards, although we’ve previously heard the device was delayed till April, on account of the Snapdragon 835 chip being late.
I guess we’ll learn more over the next month or so.
