Verizon is planning to launch a device called Galaxy Stellar soon and we’ve got a leaked image to confirm that. Also, we’ve got details on the product, that seems to come with a pointy chin, spotted on the predecessor Droid Charge. Another interesting feature of the product is its start mode.
The image offers some hints on that mode and apparently it’s easy to use. It’s all about a smaller number of reconfigured homescreens, with handy shortcuts and commonly used features. Interestingly enough, there’s another device with a starter mode out there, the Pantech Marauder, so this is not a premiere. This model is supposed to feature LTE, a $99 price tag that applies with a 2 year contract and a compact design.
It’s interesting to note that there’s Amazon Apps included here instead of the Google Play Store, at least in the promotional material below. The $99 price tag applies after a $50 mail in rebate and with a 2 year commitment. In case you want to know what a Starter mode is, it’s an option for people using Android for the first time, so they won’t get the full Android experience at once.
