How about a 4.5 inch smartphone to keep you warm through the winter day as CES 2011 starts? Well, this is where the Samsung Infuse 4G pops up, as the latest AT&T phone confirmed officially and sporting an impressive 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen.

This incredibly thin smartphone incorporates an 8MP camera at the back, plus a 1.3MP one at the front and a 1.2GHz single core CPU under the hood. In spite of its name, this is a mere HSPA+ handset, but still a progress for AT&T. Engadget had a chance to play with the device in the shape of a dummy unit and claims that the screen won’t scare users away, especially if they’ve used a HTC EVO in their lives.

They also mention a textured matte rear cover, but that’s not the final version of the device, so things will be changed. Infuse is considered to be part of the Galaxy S brand, it runs Android 2.2, but we guess Gingerbread isn’t far at this point, as an update.
