Android is the main news topic these days, with Froyo coming next week and many devices getting the Android 2.1 update. Among the latter we should mention Samsung Moment, that recently got its share of the 2.1 action courtesy of Sprint.

Meanwhile, Verizon Wireless released the Android 2.1 update for Droid ERIS. As far as Sprint and Samsung Moment are concerned, the upgrade is provided via Moment’s support page. This means that your device’s memory will be wiped once you get the software, so remember to back up everything you need.

Instructions are available here in PDF format and you should know that this is not an OTA update, so you won’t be informed about the download, but rather perform the update process yourself via the Moment support page. Feedback is welcome!
