Samsung Omnia 2’s initial launch market was Singapore, where it debuted on July 15th and now it should be available in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, moving on to Europe afterwards, plus China, Australia and many others.
Omnia 2 I8000 is all about its AMOLED resistive touchscreen display, with a 3.7 inch diagonal and a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, plus that TouchWiz 2.0 cool UI shown on the screen. There’s also an accelerometer on board and this handset uses a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD memory card slot (up to 32GB), an ARM 1176 800 MHz processor, plus a dedicated graphics accelerator.
The new Samsung smartphone also comes with a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, dual power LED flash, geotagging, face detection, mobile blogging and support for 720 x 480 30 fps video recording.
