AT&T and Samsung will release a brand new touchscreen feature phone on November 7, the Solstice II a817 model, shown in the images below. This device reminds us of the Samsung Solstice a887 model, launched over an year ago and sharing specs with the new handset, like the 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen display and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

AT&T claims that the Solstice II is a quick messaging device, with support for threaded text messaging. AT&T Social Net is also on board, plus multiple messaging options (video, instant, SMS, MMS), but sadly there’s no QWERTY on board to use for these functions. Here’s the specs list for the Samsung Solstice II a817:

Display: 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen, TouchWiz UI
Connectivity: HSDPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1
Camera: 2MP
Memory: 256MB, microSD card slot
Other features: video share, Mobi TV, Mobi VJ, Vlingo speech to text feature

The product only costs $29.99 with a contract.
