After a couple of leaked pictures arrive previously on the web, today Samsung officially announced the Z1 smartphone, a device that runs the Tizen 2.3 operating system. In case you didn’t know, Samsung had in the past another Tizen device but its commercial launch was later cancelled.
Samsung Z1 arrives in the package with a 4-inch PLS WVGA display that offers a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot up to 64 GB, and a 3.1 megapixel rear-camera with LED flash.
Among other specs we have a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, an Ultra Power saving mode and a 1.500 mAh battery that promises up to 7 hours of video playback. Samsung Z1 weighs just 112 grams and measures 9.7 mm in thickness. This phone will be available in India later this week for a $91 price tag in three different colours: white, black and red.
