After finding out that companies like Kyocera and tons of others are interested in making the next Google Android device, we’ve managed to get our hands on some info regarding the real G2 handset. Sciphone Dream G2 is more of a cameraphone, than a smartphone and its specs will be far more impressive than the ones of the G1.
G2 comes with a 4 megapixel camera with auto focus, video recording and hot photo apps plus GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, GPRS/EDGE, Wifi, and EDGE connectivity. The handset uses Google Chrome and features a large 2.8 inches QVGA TFT display with a 240 x 320 pixels resolution. Its internal memory is 50MB, but there’s also a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 16GB.
This new Google Phone’s specs list also includes the usual Google web apps, stereo FM radio, a handsfree speaker, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and a 1500 mAh battery that lasts about 450 minutes in talk mode or 300 hours in standby mode. This is quite a device we’re talking about here, more promising than the G1 and hopefully with less software bugs.
