While Sharp was announcing two new Aquos phones in Japan, in USA there are already rumors about their arrival on local carrier Sprint. The newcomers are Sharp Aquos Crystal and Sharp Aquos Crystal X, two beautiful handsets with ultra narrow bezels, pictured below.
The Crystal does VoLTE and it’s meant to debut in Japan on August 29th. It runs Android 4.4.2 and uses a Snapdragon 400 processor (quad core 1.2 GHz), as well as a 720p S-LCD with a diagonal of 5 inches. Other specs include a 1.2 MP selfie camera, 8 MP back camera, LTE Category 4, WiFi, Bluetooth and 1.5 GB of RAM. There’s 8 GB of storage and a 2040 mAh battery on board and this model will come in shades of white, pink, black and blue. It will also get some special features like Clari-Fi support (restoring lost info when compressing music) and LiveStage streaming with Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Bluetooth speaker compatibility.
The Aquos Crystal X runs Android 4.4.4 on top of a Snapdragon 801 processor, a quad core 2.3 GHz chipset, accompanied by a LCD display with a 5.5 inch diagonal and Full HD resolution. This one has a 1.2 MP front camera, a 13 megapixel CMOS back sensor and LTE Category 4 support. It also provides Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Finally, there’s a 2610 mAh battery on board and color choices of red, black and white.
The Sharp Aquos Crystal X will arrive in December 2014.
