KDDI’s series of freshly announced handsets also includes the Sharp Aquos K SHF31 model, able to do LTE roaming. This is a folding device that’s waterproof and it packs a TFT LCD display with a 3.4 inch diagonal and a 960 x 540 pixel resolution. It also has Android 4.4 as the OS and comes with 4G LTE.
The phone is actually a flip phone, as shown here, an elegant one, even by current standards. The carrier that offers this unit promises tethering via WiFi for up to 10 devices. inside this unit we find a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, while at the back rests a 13 megapixel CMOS sensor, with vivid HDR photography and a special Night Shot feature. The flip phone offers a 1410 mAh battery, 1 Seg TV and infrared communication, as well as mobile wallet functions.
Sharp’s Aquos K SHF31 comes in red, white or black and it measures a pretty hefty 17 mm in thickness. It uses a microSD card slot and opts for a mere TFT LCD screen. It’s a waterproof smartphone and the fact it offers WiFi tethering for 10 phones is certainly its selling point.
