It appears that Sharp is ready to enter a new age of communication, as they debuted the AQUOS Serie SHL25 devices, that work on WiMAX 2+ networks. Japanese carrier AU introduced the latest models from this series and more details can be found below.

The models from the AQUOS Serie SHL25 come with advanced CPUs, high def cameras, IGZO LCD screens and they’re both dust and waterproof. They can reach 110 Mbps downloads on WiMAX 2+ connections and offer Full HD resolutions with a special new type of backlight called PureLED. Finally, the newcomer adopts a 13 MP camera, with HDR, F/1.9 aperture and special night capture features.

AQUOS Serie SHL25 also integrates a Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 2.1 MP selfie camera and adopts a 5.2 inch diagonal. There’s a 3150 mAh battery inside and the OS of choice is Android 4.4 KitKat. The debut is scheduled for August and the price will be around $740.
