There’s an 8 megapixel cameraphone about to hit the US market and this time, this is not an LG or Samsung handset we’re talking about. Sony Ericsson C905a is the latest Cyber-shot device to have been approved by the FCC and it’s getting ready to be made available by AT&T.

The carrier didn’t confirm anything yet and passing to the phone’s features, we know that C905a supports quad-band GSM and tri-band (850/900/2100 MHz) HSDPA connectivity, so there will be no problem in operating it on AT&T. In case you didn’t know it, this Cyber-shot beauty will be some sort of a premiere in the US, as it’s the first 8 megapixel cameraphone launched in the country.

Of course, there’s  Samsung Memoir/Pixon, a handset we’ve shown you a couple of days ago, but it’ll be a battle of who releases the handset first, between T-Mobile and AT&T. Sony Ericsson C905a features, aside from the hot 8 megapixel autofocus camera with a Xenon flash, GPS, WiFi an accelerometer and tons of other cool specs.
