Sony Ericsson Xperia Active is marketed as a handset for surfers, skaters and snowboarders, anyway people with active lifestyles. That’s because it supports contact with water and can even swim for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter. Well, we’re testing this device right now and here’s the unboxing experience:
Xperia Active comes inside a pretty big box, considering how small the handset actually is. As you can see, it also has a handle, so it can be hanged to schoolbags or belts, if you’re a really active person and feel the need to have the phone handy all the time. Inside the box we found the charger, microUSB cable, a back case, headphones, the battery, a lanyard, manuals and a special case and strap for attaching the phone to your arm while jogging.
I already poured some water on the smartphone and even dunked it into a glass of water and everything is fine. The Xperia Active comes with plugs that cover the ports from the its lower side and also the speaker and camera area are very well protected. As shown in the unboxing video, there are actually two cases on the phone: the internal one and outer one, with the latter being the waterproof one.
