We’ve checked out the first real pics of the XPERIA X2 here and now the handset’s specs have leaked. Bear in mind that they haven’t been confirmed yet, but they’re pretty plausible.

The new XPERIA smartphone comes with an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, that supports 30 fps VGA video recording, a 3.5 inch WVGA OLED touchscreen display, GPS, aGPS and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There’s also an accelerometer on board, a faster processor than on the X1, 512MB RAM, custom Windows Mobile 6.5 and XPERIA Panels with new features.

These panels will support the upgrade to Windows Mobile 7, although I’m not sure how this info showed up, since we don’t know a lot about WM 7.
