One of the most compact smartphones on the market with a Snapdragon 835 CPU, the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is now up for preorder in USA, after being unveiled at IFA 2017. The device went live with the XZ1 last month and now it can be ordered in the States via Amazon.

Priced at $599.99, this is the factory unlocked model we’re talking about, with US warranty. It’s got a 4.6 inch IPS LCD display, with HD resolution, plus the famed Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU inside and 4 GB of RAM. It measures a hefty 9.3 mm in thickness, but has a special glass fiber reinforced body, combined with plastic and Gorilla Glass 5.

This is a waterproof device with Android 8.0 Oreo, plus the classic Xperia launcher on top. Its appeal is the 19 megapixel back camera with IR sensor, lase focus, PDAF and LED flash. It does 4K video recording, stereo audio recording and it’s accompanied by an 8 megapixel front camera with wide angle lens. Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact uses a 2700 mAh battery and on some markets it should get a fingerprint scanner.

It weighs 140 grams and provides access to LTE Category 15 and dual band WiFi.
