It’s usually a good idea to look at accessory makers and sellers to learn what new devices are coming. We already had a piece today regarding the Xperia Z3, that was certified by the FCC. Well, now the same device appears in a listing on Case-Mate, according to a Dutch site.
The same listing includes another newcomer, the Xperia Z2 Compact. We already wrote about these two models, back in the day when they were only codenames: Aries and Leo. Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be launched at IFA 2014 in Berlin, with a Full HD 5.1 inch display, Snapdragon 801 CPU and 3 GB of RAM, plus a 20 megapixel camera. Case Mate is an official Sony partner, so we tend to believe every piece of info coming from them.
The Z2 Compact follows the very appreciated Z1 Compact, that had a very bright screen, close to the 500 lux level. Since accessories for these devices are already prepared to ship into the retailer’s storage unit, I expect an announcement for both soon. The Z2 Compact doesn’t have an exact time frame and from what I know, it’s already available in Japan under a different name.
