We’ve been hearing for a while now that LG is preparing a premium smartphone for the last quarter of the year, but recently one of LG’s officials toned anticipation down, saying it wasn’t going to be a “super premium” model. Today we get wind of a confirmation of such a newcomer, as a brand new LG smartphone got certified by TENAA.
I’m talking about the LG-H968, that’s said to be the LG G4 Note/LG G4 Pro. The device is expected to be unveiled on October 10th and comes with a plastic build, a removable back cover and physical back buttons. It also has a metal frame and there’s speculation that the Power button at the back may end up integrating a fingerprint scanner. Interesting aspects about this model include its facade, that seems to incorporate the proximity and light sensors under the display glass, in the top left area.
The front facing camera is on the right of a pretty wide speaker grille. LG G4 Pro is seen most likely as a phablet and at the back we spot a laser autofocus mechanism, plus dual LED flash (or maybe one is an RGB sensor). We don’t have a clear specs list leaked for this model, but I’m sure one will pop up in mere days. Also, notice the slightly protruding back camera…
