Among these first modules we have a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor, and also 5-megapixel and 13-megapixel rear camera sensor. Form what we get to know, the development plan of these modules will have 3 phases, plan that will be complete in 2016, without a date determined.

This pilot Project Ara program will be launched in Puerto Rico at the end of this year, moment when we’ll get to know the official prices too. Google hopes that once such a smartphone launched, the costs of upcoming upgrades to be reduced as customers will buy just a single part of the phone and not a new device.
