We weren’t very familiar with the brand UHANS, till a few weeks ago the brand got a lot of coverage and hype, seeing how it had a very open marketing. This is a Chinese phone maker, whose UHANS S1 model we unboxed below. The device is priced at $140 on Gearbest, $140 on Geekbuying or $139 on Everbuying.
What’s interesting about the device is that it brings bundled in the case a charger, USB cable, manual, metal key, plus screen wipes, screen protector and case. So quite a few accessories as you can see, but no headphones. Anyway, this model resembles the iPhone 4 a lot and shows off two 2.5D glass panels, at the front and back.
This phone offers a 7.3 mm waistline on a solid metal frame and it weighs 155 grams. The display upfront is a 5 inch HD unit and overall this feels like a bigger iPhone 4. 3 GB of RAM are here, plus 32 GB of storage and an core MediaTek MT6753 1.3 GHz unit rounds up the hardware specs list. UHANS S1 is a dual SIM smartphone, with a 13 megapixel back camera and a front 5 MP shooter.
Its battery has a 2200 mAh capacity and we find a main fingerprint scanner at the back. The platform of choice here is Android 6.0, with FreeMe OS 6.1 on top, that’s quite colorful and has nice widgets. UHANS provides special screenshots, including video ones and scrolling ones. This is a very interesting model, that is able to beat the Galaxy A5 2016 in benchmarks, so we look forward to review it properly.
