The UMi Touch is a new arrival here at GSMDome.com and we just unboxed the device below. This model is a 5.5 inch phablet with 3 GB of RAM and an affordable price. It goes for $140 on Gearbest.com and comes with a metal chassis and a very compact box.

Inside the box we find the manual, USB cable, charger and metal key to pry open the slots. There’s no headphones here. The device is available in silver, gray or gold and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It relies on 3 GB of RAM and an octa core MediaTek CPU to do that. My first impression was that this is one bulky device, especially since it weighs almost 200 grams.

It’s also pretty solidly built, although the back feels more like plastic than metal. The camera UI of the 13 MP shooter was rather old-looking and had too few options for my liking. The package feels very similar to the Vernee Thor, so I can’t wait to compare the two. This model also provides 16 GB of storage, a fingerprint scanner and a hefty 4000 mAh battery.

We’ll be back with a full review soon. In the meantime the updated price is here.
