Samsung and US Cellular have just announced a new texting machine, the Freeform handset, pictured below. This sleek candybar unit comes with a slim design, a full QWERTY keyboard upfront and totally unimpressive specs. Teens will surely love this model, specially due to its looks and keyboard.

Samsung Freeform packs a 2.2 inch display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, threaded text messaging, a music player, a microSD card slot (16GB max) and Stereo Bluetooth. There’s also a dedicated speakerphone on board, as well as calendar buttons and shortcuts, like the shortcut bar along the bottom of the screen, for a more intuitive experience.

Its battery provides 6 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby, while the price is a still a mystery, for now.
