We’ve heard about a Verizon iPhone 4 before, but nothing was mentioned as far as LTE connectivity is concerned. However, we’ve just come across a picture, posted by Today’s iPhone and showing the new generation of Apple handset running on Verizon’s LTE network. The pic is supposed to be legitimate.

No clarification has been available till now, so you should take the info with a grain of salt and assume it’s a great Photoshop job. Apparently, Today’s iPhone source didn’t want to mention where the image came from, but they did say that the MacBook in the background belongs to a Verizon engineer “in the Pacific Northwest region and that the handset is running iOS 4.2.”

Notice that there’s a metal band around the outside of the handset, a bit darker than the normal one you see on the iPhone 4. This could mean that this is the brand new Verizon version of the handset, with a bit of customization to differentiate it from AT&T’s version.
