There are a few very lucky people out there that look quite sexy, while still being fat. They’re very few and the same also applies to handsets. Vernee Apollo Lite manages to be one of those “fatties”, that look very nice. This model gets unboxed below and it’s one of the most affordable 4 GB RAM phones on the market, being priced at $189 on GearBest.com.
Launched in July, this is an upper midranger, that will have an incredible price from October 31st to November 9th, just $99, also on Gearbest.com. Anyways, inside the box of the handset we find an USB Type C cable, a charger, manual and metal key. The screen is a 5.5 incher with a solid IGZO Sharp panel and a Full HD resolution, as well as Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
There’s a beautiful 2.5D glass panel upfront and a slightly rounded unibody metal case to complete it. Inside the handset there’s a deca core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and at the back we find the same 16 megapixel camera sensor we saw on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. It does PDAF, 4K video capture (on paper) and to keep it company we have a 5 MP front shooter.
There’s an USB Type C port at the bottom and a 3180 mAh battery inside. Below the main cam is a fingerprint scanner and I kept calling this device a fattie, because it measures 9.2 mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams, thus being quite big for modern standards. Still, it’s well built and has good specs, together with a good price, available here.
