Vernee has been in the news a lot lately, because they made an Uber phone and also a handset with a brand new MediaTek chip and 6 GB of RAM. Today one of the Vernee phones has leaked, the Apollo model, that stands out through a titanium back cover.

At the back there’s a 2 mm thick titanium alloy cover, that’s supposed to make the phone stand out of the crowd of simple aluminum and sometimes magnesium backs. Titanium means increased resilience and hardness, which makes the phone extra beefed up and ready to withstand drops on concrete, at least on paper. The look of the back cover feels like aluminum, so aesthetics haven’t changed in a huge way.

I have to remind you that the Vernee Apollo is a 6 GB RAM phablet, with a $399 price tag and that it comes with a 5.5 inch Quad HD screen, a deca core MediaTek Helio X20 CPU and 128 GB of storage. There’s also a 21 MP back camera and a fingerprint scanner at the back.
