Oppo Finder, a Fujitsu Arrows model and the Huawei Ascend P1S were this year’s contenders to the title of thinnest handset model. Well, since “there can be only one”, that one is a newcomer, the Vivo X1, that you can see pictured below. This newcomer is one tenth of a millimeter thinner than its rival, so it reaches 6.55 mm in thickness.

The title of “world’s thinnest smartphone” belonged to the Oppo Finder for 5 months or so and now let’s see just long Vivo X1 will keep its crown. The handset doesn’t look bad at all and it comes with a 4.7 inch 540 x 960 screen, with an IPS panel, a dual core Cortex A9 1.2 GHz chipset, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front shooter. It can be ordered straight from Vivo’s webstore.

The handset also brings 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and apparently no microSD card slot. It also has 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 2000 mAh battery, plus it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Its price tag is pretty affordable, at $400, but then again, its resolution is so 2011…
