The Vivo X5 Sapphire Limited Edition model may stand out through more than its sapphire screen, as shown below. It appears that the device will use a Home button with a gem pattern, included below the display.

The other two capacitive buttons are the same, the Menu one and Back one, while the Home has been redesigned. The config of the handset includes a 5 inch sapphire display, an octa core MediaTek MT6592 1.7 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a 5 megapixel front shooter, a 13 megapixel rear camera with IMX214 sensor and a 2250 mAh battery. The product will be offered in local Chinese stores starting with mid October.

Huawei already has a special edition of the P7 smartphone with a sapphire glass layer and in case you’re wondering, the Vivo X5 special edition is priced at $490. There’s 4G LTE support and a special Yamaha digital surround voice signal processing chip, for excellent audio quality.
