The Vivo X5 Sapphire Limited Edition model may stand out through more than its sapphire screen, as shown below. It appears that the device will use a Home button with a gem pattern, included below the display.

The config of the handset includes a 5 inch sapphire display, an octa core MediaTek MT6592 1.7 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a 5 megapixel front shooter, a 13 megapixel rear camera with IMX214 sensor and a 2250 mAh battery. The product will be offered in local Chinese stores starting with mid October.
Huawei already has a special edition of the P7 smartphone with a sapphire glass layer and in case you’re wondering, the Vivo X5 special edition is priced at $490. There’s 4G LTE support and a special Yamaha digital surround voice signal processing chip, for excellent audio quality.
