Vivo wants to cement its status as one of the biggest smartphone makers right now and thus it’s preparing new phones for release this month. Those are the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus, recently leaked and teased today with a reference to a potent selfie camera system.
The newcomers will have two front cameras, much like the LG V10 launched last year, but this time at a much higher resolution. It appears that the front side module will include a 20 megapixel and 8 megapixel shooter. They’ll be present on both the X9 and X9 Plus, providing great selfies and potentially some depth of field action.
The X9 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The devices will both debut on November 17th and it’s possible we could see dual cameras at the back too, not only the front, which would be a premiere on the smartphone market. By the way, the 8 MP front shooter will also provide wide angles lenses for group selfies, while the 20 MP one will take standard photos.
