Here we are with the Wiko Rainbow, a youthful and colourful phone from France, that has arrived on our test table and gets unboxed in the video below. We’re dealing with a device meant for youngsters, a colourful piece of gadgetry, that costs 150 euros.

Wiko is a French company, that was founded in Marseille in 2011 and it has a mother company in China. The product you’re seeing here, Rainbow comes inside a colourful box, that holds its USB cable, charger, manual, headphones and SIM adapters (nano SIM and micro SIM). The back cover of the phone is removable and hides behind it a dual SIM card slot, as well as a microSD card slot. The phone is a 5 incher with an IPS 720p panel and inside it we find a quad core Cortex A7 1.3 GHz processor, a MediaTek unit.

Inside we also get 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB extra and HSPA+ connectivity, with 21 Mbps download speed. The handset measures 9.3 mm in thickness, weighs 167 grams and its battery is a 2000 mAh unit, that offers up to 260 hours of standby functioning or 16 hours of talk time. This model runs Android 4.2.2 and comes with an accelerometer, magnetic sensor, 8 MP back camera and a front 2 MP shooter.
