Rob Tiffany recently made a post on his blog, detailing the encryption features of Windows Phone 7, that will be very useful for the platform’s business customers. Sensitive data encryption is crucial nowadays, specially when two CEOs are chatting via WP7 devices.
The platform provides varied encryption schemes, based on security elements, like tested, digitally signed apps, lack of insecure apps side loading and SSL for data in transit.
Also, managed apps will run inside a secure sandbox and applications will use a private and inaccessible Isolated Storage. Exchange Policies are also in the mix, together with PIN lock enforcement and remote wipe.
