Just a few days ago we saw the Xiaomi Mi 4 with Windows 10 Mobile on board and we’ve heard it was coming around Thanksgiving in this version. Now we learn that the FCC has certified the product, which leads us to believe we may see a launch on US soil soon.

First thing, it’s clear that USA is the only one celebrating Thanksgiving, so launching the phone on that festive date is clearly intended for the US market. Second, Xiaomi’s cooperation with Microsoft will be much fruitful on Microsoft’s home turf. Last month we also saw the Xiaomi Redmi 2 certified by the FCC, so maybe we’re ready for a massive scale Xiaomi debut in the States.

Xiaomi Mi 4 is the current flagship of the company and it comes with a 5 inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM and 16 or 64 GB of storage. A back 13 MP camera and a front 8 MP one round up the specs list. We also get a 3080 mAh battery in the mix. Xiaomi already sold accessories from the MI.com website in US in May and now they’re holding a “Grand Finale” event on the 24th of this month.

Imagine a Mi 4 with Windows 10 Mobile and a $200 price tag in USA. That would be a crazy hit and push both MS and Xiaomi forward. The only thing standing in the way of Xiaomi in USA is the paranoia regarding Chinese spying software.
