Xiaomi Mi 5 rumors continue, today with some info about its mass production. Apparently, production has started, putting Foxconn into overdrive and workers into overtime.
Previously we’ve heard that the product would be ready for release around the Chinese Spring Festival and in order to meet that goal, production must be ample. The debut of the flagship is meant for February and the end of the Chinese New Year holiday period is February 13th, so this may affect manufacturing.
Apple has already reduced its orders, knowing that many employees get free time in that time frame and Foxconn doesn’t want to pay extra hours this year. The latest intel on the handset talks about a 2.5D screen with Full HD resolution, a Quad HD resolution and a Snapdragon 820 processor. The case is said to be made of metal.
