Xiaomi Mi 5S is on everyone’s mind these days, following a series of leaks that showed us a powerful Snapdragon 821 device. Now the newcomer is the topic of leaks again, this time in a hands on shot, that’s a bit controversial.

The phone has appeared in a spy photo, that seems to show a very familiar design. It would appear that they’re using a circular Home button with a potential halo on it, much like Meizu or UMi. ZTE and its Nubia brand have been angry about that for a long time, attacking the firms that used that approach, since it’s their copyright after all and now Xiaomi is apparently going to use it.

Nubia actually won previous suits and Meizu had to go back to using a physical Home button. Basically, the Xiaomi Mi 5S is a lawsuit waiting to happen, or this is just a prototype and the final version won’t have the “halo”. The handset is expected to debut this fall, with a Snapdragon 821 CPU, 5.15 inch screen and a 16 MP back camera.
