Xiaomi posted today a new teaser on Weibo, that’s supposed to be linked to a potential Mi Note 2. The image says “2>5”, meaning that the Mi Note 2 could be more powerful than the Xiaomi Mi 5.

The caption on the same pic translates to “love it, no one lose”, so it’s a solid claim of supremacy for the newcomer. The device has been leaked in the renders below already and specs have also hit the web. We’re talking about a 5.7 inch Quad HD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage.

There’s also a 12 megapixel front camera and a main 23 megapixel shooter, plus a 3500 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charging. So basically the upgrade from the Xiaomi Mi 5 is rather in the camera department more than anything else, since the CPU is identical for example. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is still a long way from release, that’s expected to come in September, with the Xiaomi Laptop.
