Xperia Play, the gaming handset that was recently announced as coming to Verizon at the end of the current month will be getting the Android 2.3.3 update next week, it seems. Together with it, the Xperia Arc model will see the same software enhancement, although we’re still waiting for the official confirmation.
Not all devices will get the upgrade and we don’t really know what the criteria for choices will be. If this is real, these will be the first two non-Nexus devices to receive the software and with it comes Sony Ericsson’s Facebook inside Xperia update, that integrates the social network deep within the handset.
This means that Facebook will be accessible from the Calendar, Contacts and Music section.
