After a long and embarrassing wait, the XPERIA X10 models (X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro) are getting the long awaited Android 2.1 update. Nordic countries will premiere this software, followed by more countries throughout November. Among the most important features of the upgrade there are the HD Video recording in 720p with continuous autofocus.

UI changes are expected and a major revamp from the Android 1.6 will be present on your device. Here’s what you should expect on your XPERIA X10:

– HD video recording with continuous autofocus
– Android 2.1 upgrade
– new backup/restore app, extended content backup
– 5 homescreens for widgets, shortcuts, apps, folders
– social networking features in phone book

XPERIA X10 mini and X10 mini pro users will get these improvements:

– enhanced Bluetooth functionality (sending/receiving pictures, contacts, more)
– backup and restore application, with extended content backup
– automatic sync of contact pictures between phonebook and Facebook
– new ways of handling audio, text, pictures and numbers in messages
