For 2013 we expect that every major phone maker would get on the 5 inch Full HD phone bandwagon. Among them we find the likes of HTC, ZTE, LG, Samsung and many, many more. ZTE’s 5 inch bigshot has been rumored for a while now, with the name Nubia Z5 associated to it and today we finally get a picture of the newcomer.
ZTE Nubia Z5 had its image posted on Weibo, a Chinese social networking website, that revealed a white handset with capacitive keys and overall nice looks. It seems to have a grille at the top, maybe hiding a speaker or earpiece. There’s also a nifty lockscreen customized with widgets, that look really cool. The Z5 features a 5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel display and most likely runs Android 4.1 Jelly bean.
It features a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera, all of them features we also found on the ASUS PadFone 2 for example. There’s also a 7.6 mm chassis in the mix and ZTE is expected to debut this model in China before the year end. Sharp and HTC already released their 1080p smartphones and now Samsung, LG and Sony are ready for that task.
