After the acclaimed ZTE Nubia Z9, it appears there’s a ZTE Nubia Z9s model coming, judging from a fresh leak. Apparently, on the same day of the release of the Meizu MX5 and Huawei Honor 7, we may also get to see this newcomer. That day is June 30.
The handset keeps the look and feel of the Nubia Z9, but it adds a new type of LTE connectivity. The SpeedTest benchmark applied to the Z9s revealed a download speed of 247.52 Mbps and upload of 30.74 Mbps, which means we’re getting LTE Category 9 here. Right now, ZTE Nubia Z9 only supports LTE Category 4, with a top download speed of 150 Mbps.
We’re expecting here the inclusion of the Snapdragon 810 processor, a 5.2 inch Full HD display, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There should also be an Elite version, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. A 2900 mAh battery and 16 megapixel back camera are in the mix, too. It’s strange to see a new model released just to promote improved connectivity.
