ZTE Open is one of the first Firefox Mobile OS handsets and it’s now available in USA for the very affordable price of $80. The ZTE-Mozilla partnership took off during this year’s Mobile World Congress and ZTE Open is the fruit of that cooperation.

The handset comes with a 3.5 inch 320 x 480 pixel display, a 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU, 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of storage and a 3 megapixel rear camera. There’s also a microSD card slot on board, for up to 32 GB and a 1200 mAh battery included as well. The handset has been made available already in Spain, but today US gets it.

ZTE has made the product available on its exclusive eBay Store and it will sell it for $80. That’s very, very cheap, even cheaper than some handsets on contract, but this is a lower end device after all. This is a GSM phone that supports AT&T’s network.
