For the past few days the Internet has been filled with rumors regarding a possible Zune Phone announcement at CES 2009. However, things have been settled yesterday by Brian Seitz, Group Manager of Zune, who claimed that we won’t be seeing such a device at CES. Last we heard, there was even a codename for the handset, “Pink” and even a specs list.

It turns out that Pink is actually a platform of Zune services that could be implemented on Windows Mobile and that is quite likely to be shown at CES, but surely not a Zune Phone. Well, some of you might say that a handset running a Zune platform can rightfully be called “Zune Phone”, but this is as ambiguous as the case of the Google Phone.
